More than a quick once-over

Every item that comes through our doors is professionally inspected before being approved for sale. That doesn’t mean they’re given a cursory glance over to check for major damage or a quick spin around the warehouse to prove the battery isn’t flat – our inspections cover up to 100 individual checkpoints, giving us a detailed picture of condition, performance and safety.

In the case of a mobility scooter or powerchair, our experts check key components like batteries, electrical systems, controls, motors, tyres, brakes, lights and charging equipment. They also inspect the seat, armrests, upholstery, bodywork and any accessories supplied with the product.

While the inspection is tailored to suit other types of equipment, the principle remains the same - every item is rigorously tested and given the Good to Go seal of approval before it reaches our website. If it doesn’t meet the Mobigo Standard, it won’t feature on our site.

Taking the guesswork out of second hand

Not everyone is desperate for a product that looks brand new. We know lots of people are more than happy to prioritise substance over style, accepting the odd cosmetic imperfection if it means getting better value. You won’t find any flattering descriptions or carefully chosen camera angles that conveniently leave out the dents, scrapes and scuffs. Just a clear, consistent standard that helps you quickly and easily compare products so you can buy with confidence.

Our grades explained

Premium – These products are like new. Our experts have checked and double checked, finding no visible damage to the exterior. Battery-powered equipment holds charge and offers reliable range, while electronics are smooth and responsive. All accessories are present and correct.

Excellent – These products might have a few small marks from their previous life, but batteries offer strong performance and electronics will still work perfectly. Any included accessories will have very light evidence of use.  

Good – All products graded ‘Good’ by our professional inspectors are safe and ready to roll. They likely have some wear and tear from their former owners, but the batteries will be working reliably, and electrics will be fully operational.

Fair – You may find that some of these products have visible indications of use, but safety is never compromised. Batteries might offer reduced performance compared to higher grades, but electronics will be working as intended. There’s still plenty of life in them yet!

Never ‘sold as seen’

The Mobigo Standard doesn’t stop at delivery. Our grading system ensures you have all the information you need to make an informed choice, but if anything changes, we won’t leave you stuck with something that isn’t right for you.

You’ll have a 14-day returns window if you change your mind, and all our products are backed by a 6 month warranty (extendable to 12 months). Meanwhile, our experienced customer support team is always on hand to answer any questions you might have, both before and after your purchase.
