Self-Propelled Wheelchairs

Self-propelled wheelchairs have large rear wheels with push rims, so you can move around on your own, plus handles so a companion can help when needed. Every refurbished chair comes with a 6-month warranty and free 14-day returns.

Honest guidance before you buy

A good choice for

Users with the upper-body strength to push themselves
Users who want independence indoors and outdoors without relying on a carer
Users who may sometimes be pushed by an attendant, as push handles are still fitted

May not suit

Users with limited arm strength or dexterity, who may find a powerchair or scooter easier
Users who need the most compact, lightweight option for the car, as large rear wheels add bulk

Good to know

The questions we get asked most

Every listing shows the product weight, so you can check before you buy. Folding scooters and powerchairs fold as one unit, so the weight shown is the whole item, while travel scooters split into lighter pieces. If lifting is a concern, compare the product weight on each listing or call us and we will talk it through.

Most airlines accept lithium mobility scooters and powerchairs with advance notice. Battery limits vary, so check with your airline and bring the battery specification, which we can provide for every listing.

Every battery is load-tested. Any that miss our minimum standard are replaced before listing, and the grade description tells you how the battery performs.

Yes. Every listing is a single item, photographed on its own, so the photos show the one you'll receive.

Every item is inspected and graded Premium, Excellent, Good or Fair, so you know exactly what you're getting. See how grading works.

Everything comes with a 6-month warranty as standard. You can extend it to 12 months in your basket.

Yes. You have 14 days to change your mind, free of charge. Read our returns policy.
